My Dear Earth

My dear earth
Day by day
Viewing you from the window of my room
With a brush in my hand
A bleak future awaits you
So sorry, all I can do is paint your beauty
Before destruction takes it away
    My dear earth
    Tell me the secret place
    Where the river runs free
Where the spring breeze smells sweet
And where the birds sing in the morning sun
    In a melodic tune
    But no, don't tell me
It's a fairy tale of a long lost land.
My dear earth
You venture in pain
A slave to ignorant humans
A victim to human greed, power, grace and style
Law of ecology, bent and altered
Destroyed, ruined, exploited!
Pollution is the word
That made headlines in newspapers
And gave headaches to politicians
    Adream I've shared
    With the children of tomorrow
As the leaders of the future
We won't cry in vain nor beg for sympathy
We will stand up as one
    We see a vision
    We have a mission
    Save the world today!
